Having Trouble With Any of These?

If you’re seeing one or more of these symptoms, this service is often the right next step:

  • Vibration at certain RPM ranges after engine work or modification
  • Bearing failures, metal in the oil, or unusual wear patterns
  • Unknown history on a used or “core” crankshaft
  • Upgrading to forged internals, stroker kits, or higher RPM use
This Service Is Ideal For
  • Performance and track builds that live at higher RPM
  • Street cars and trucks wanting smoother operation and longer bearing life
  • Stroker or aftermarket rotating assemblies that must be matched and balanced
  • Rebuilds where the crank has visible scoring, discoloration, or unknown damage
What to Expect From Our Process
  1. Visual inspection and crack detection (e.g., Magnaflux where applicable).
  2. Journal measurement and decision on grind sizes if needed.
  3. Precision grinding and micro-polishing of journals.
  4. Chamfering oil holes and deburring critical edges.
  5. Dynamic balancing with the correct bobweights for your rotating assembly.
  6. Final cleaning, preservation, and bagging for assembly.
Common Questions About Crankshaft Work

Yes. Any significant change in piston or rod weight can affect balance. Matching your rotating assembly and balancing the crank helps reduce vibration and extend bearing life.

We routinely work with aftermarket and stroker cranks. Bring your full rotating assembly so we can balance the system as a matched set.

If a crack is detected, we will stop and contact you. In most cases cracked cranks are not safe to use and we’ll help you explore replacement options.
